Today in cooking class the girls made Hamburger Buns, Deviled Eggs, and Fun da-middles Cupcakes. I showed them how to measure out the flour and they made the bun dough in the bread maker. Then Hope and Mercy made the first box of cupcakes while Grace read us the directions. After they finished we put them into the oven to cook and Grace made the next batch.
Everyone did very good with cracking their eggs except Mercy who kinda just squeezed it open. It was very amusing though. With the cupcakes done we started on the deviled eggs. Everyone got to cut them in half and put the yolks in a bowl. Daddy helped Mercy with hers. After I mixed everything together I let them each fill 4 egg halves. Daddy sprinkled them with the paprika and the girls told him good job.
By the time we were done with everything the dough was ready. So we separated it into 12 balls and put them in to cook. I usually let them rise again before I cook them but I wanted to see how they would turn out if I didn’t. They are a little smaller but they are ok.
The girls said so far they really liked making the Cheesecake, cupcakes, and Deviled Eggs.
